Rice Valley Projects began as an offshoot to our collaborative art practice as artists Ken + Julia Yonetani. Most of our artwork touches on environmental themes. Farming began as a way to put our environmental concerns into practice, as an experiment in self sufficient living.
We soon realised that farming was not only a way of life but also an art in itself. Both our artistic practice and our farming have seen molded together in intricate forms, as both, in different ways, offer a sense of a larger world and larger self.
